2. What data we collect
Property enquiry form. When you complete the form, we receive your full name, email, phone number, the location and type of your property, and anything you write in the message. For security reasons we also record the IP address the enquiry was sent from, so that we can protect the form against abuse and spam.
Email communication. If you email us, we process your details and the content of your message in order to reply.
Browsing data. Only if you accept it through the cookie banner, we collect statistics about how the site is used (pages visited, device, traffic source) through Google Analytics, as well as advertising measurement data through Google. More details in our Cookie Policy.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Replying to your enquiry and assessing your property: based on your consent and on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
- Site security and spam protection: based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Statistics and advertising measurement: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
We do not use your data for automated decision making and we never sell it to third parties.
4. Who has access to your data
Your details are seen only by the Great Host team handling your enquiry. To run the site we work with providers who act on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect your data:
- the site’s hosting provider, where enquiries are stored,
- the email delivery provider, for sending confirmations,
- Cloudflare, for the security and speed of the site,
- Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads), only if you have given consent.
Some of these providers, such as Google and Cloudflare, may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case the transfer takes place with the safeguards provided for by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep your data
- Form enquiries: for as long as needed to handle your enquiry. If we do not end up working together, we delete them no later than 24 months after our last contact. If we do work together, the data is kept for the duration of our agreement and for as long as tax and other legislation requires.
- Cookie consent records: 12 months.
- Google Analytics statistics: according to the data retention setting of our Google Analytics account.
6. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
For any of the above, email us at [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1-3 Kifisias Ave, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr).
7. Security
The site runs exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the administration area is restricted and protected against brute force attacks, and the form includes protection against spam and abuse.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the way the site works or the law changes. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
This is an English translation of our Greek Privacy Policy. In case of any discrepancy, the Greek version prevails.
